Anyone have tips on how to cut the hair between the paws?
My dog doesn't like to have the hair cut and it's causing him to slip and slide when he walks.
If you just hold the paws, he will pull it away or hide it under his body.
Thanks.

Any training to be done should always be a HAPPY experience for the dog.
If you are having a difficulty in cutting the hair between the paws, just click the sheers while the dog is lying on its side.
make him feel that there is nothing to worry. after that, just slide the sheers on the paws (NOT CUTTING ANY HAIR)
Once the dog feels SECURE, you may cut small portions of the hair. MAKING SURE that no paw would be cut.
This is not accomplished in one sitting. Be PATIENT.

I think the problem isn't so much being afraid of the shears. Rather it's ticklish when you cut.
Anyway to minimize the tickle, you think?

Anyway to minimize the tickle, you think? hi! i dont think that the dog is feeling ticklish. he is not used to the feeling of an alien object near the paws. just continue the practice i mentioned and in time, you wont have problems in cutting hair around the paws. do this as much as possible but just cut small amount of hair at a time

you could also ask for help from someone so that he/she could hold your dog...but also be patient kasi kahit may iba ng humahawak sa kanya ginagalaw pa rin...and be careful
