#1 DO NOT oversupplement - it will cause more harm than good.
Many vitamins are NOT water soluble!
Meaning hindi nila maiihi and it becomes toxic kung ma over na.
Usually over supplemented dogs nag diarrhea or whatever.
#2 I do not think its genetics kaya maiksi hair nang dog mo, I THINK its wrong brushing technique.
#3 Do not listen to advise from people who also know nothing about hair care - talk about the blind leading the blind.
#4 Baka kala nang iba sila pinatatamaan - HINDI kayo. I am just afraid the starter of this post might listen to advice from some CRAZY dog people who give advice but they themselves hindi nila maayos aso nila.
#5 Just because maganda hair nang parents does not necessarily mean maganda hair nang aso mo.
#6 YES Conditioner helps!

I agree with Cheryll... my old kennel help brushed the wrong way... ayun... instead na down to the floor.. hindi nagfull ang coat... HMP! question... does an increased amount of conditioner help? wouldn't it cause build up on the coat?

Honestly this is a question that really BOTHERS ME! HAve you not asked your dogs breeder? She would know the coat of her breeding better than we do. Coz aside from brushing, some other products might help. Like if people who bought from me ask, me masasagot ako and me ma recommend na gamit, but other people's dogs? We woulldn't know, kasi di namin alam texture etc.

coat conditioners specially formulated for dogs didn't turn up the results that were expected (just from my personal experience).
Keep your dog away from COD LIVER OIL daw (as i've read in other forums) as it might be harmful to your dog.

Keep your dog away from COD LIVER OIL daw (as i've read in other forums) as it might be harmful to your dog. using dog conditioner is the best actually. it depends on how it was used. COD LIVER OIL is bad if taken too much. if you plan to use it, use it 2 a week MAX na.

Yep hwag lang marami ANY supplement pag na over is bad!
dog conditioners are GOOD! If you buy the good brands!
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Siyempre if you bought yun cheap ngek!

likewise sa shampoo ... if you buy the cheap ones.. you get the poor quality... UGH! you do get good results from good brands... just don't stinge on your furkids...

coat supplements... mishi commercial brands that are specially made for dogs are coat shine, mira coat, etc. you also use vit e, cod liver oil, fish liver oil, brewers yeast. use the above supplements in moderation since maliliit ang mga alaga natin. personally, i have tried coat shine, vit e, cod liver oil, salmon oil, and brewers yeast, each administered once or twice a week lang, except for the brewers yeast, but i didn't see any stunning results. ok lang. coat shine and mira coat? where can we buy that?
