let me just put it this way.... each and every breeder and exhibitor who works on a certain breed has the perfect outline for their breed in mind. i would suggest you take some time and visit the local shows to see the shih tzu being camapaigned, take some time and chat with their owners too. mind you, putting tons of titles on different dogs does not necessarily mean they are producing the most promising dogs. as for your questions..... i have taken a break from showing right now as my hubby and i are expecting a baby of our own. so i don't really have a clear idea who's active and who's not.

yep, watching tzus being campaigned and chatting with breeders during dog shows would be ideal to increase my knowledge of the breed. my problem is, i live in the boondocks and the nearest city that holds dogshows is davao. aside from fantasia kennel (who is not showing her dogs in davao anymore) there is nobody else showing shih tzus! i was asking bout sunnyside because i really like their dog biggy and i haven't heard bout their dogs winning for the past year or so(?). best wishes for you and your baby!

cheryll ann of fantasia shih tzu prefer to show her dogs in manila, there are more entries here. as for sunnyside, towards the latter part of last year, they only show their dogs under cavite canine club sanctioned dog shows. i am not definite if they still show unde pcci sanctioned shows.... if you are in search of a nice tzu, you might want to ask cheryll ann of fantasia. you won't go wrong with her, that i can guarantee, i live in manila and yet all my babies are from her... my two girls Dara and Desire stormed the rings in Manila when I was showing them. They finished their titles in no time! And to think they were born and bred in Davao. just MHO thanks for the best wishes on our baby, we are excited as well! hopefully i can get back on track with dog showing towards the end of this year.

Jester / Christine
Just would like you to know that Biggy is NOT NOT NOT Bred or owned by Sunnyside shih tzu.
He is Owned AND Bred by Mr and Mrs KANG.
I also sent you a PRIVATE email regarding the matter.
BIGGY also NEVER finished his hall of fame, you should call Rose (Mrs Kang) and ask her why sometime.
ITS A VERY SAD STORY, one that involves DOG KIDNAPPING, POLICE and all, TRULY NAUSEATING!

Yep, Biggy was one of the victims, I called up Rose when it happened and she made kwento.
Rose is a wonderful WONDERFUL wonderful lady, she bought a Chinchilla from me (that is how I knew her) way back when I was still a hamster/chinchilla/sugar glider breeder, LOL!
I also gave Rose SUNGAR - my VERY TAME Sugar Glider that went to school with me and all (she hid in my clothes) but my dogs HATED her, LOL!

poor glider, the dogs didn't like her.. LOL!
well my purpose then of dropping by Rose's place was to take a peek at her chin, she had a single baby available at that time.. apparently the baby has already been reserved... so we just took a peek..

SINO ANG TOP SHIHTZU NGAYONG TAON?MALE & FEMALE? anbody knows? thanks. hi there roxy! Welcome to the forum. for your questions, tanon ko lang, what do you mean by player? one who always shows? For the kennels na lagi nag show, we have achilles, yaki, artemis, fantasia, orion, cheers, sonora, triton, etc etc etc (paki add na lang if i missed out some kennels) for the top shih tzu of 2003, the top is BIS/BISS HOF Midnightdream Winning Edge (mali ata ang name na nilagay ko), or popularly known as Kevin. He is an import owned by Artemis Kennel. THe owners of the kennel are Allecs Raspado Tan and Henson Tan. This year wala pang top shih tzu kase hindi pa end of the year. The last PCCI show would determine the top shih tzu

I can only answer the top shih tzu for the year 2002 and 2003 ... and that is Phil. Grand Champ/Hall of Famer Midnightdream Winning Edge --- "Kevin" ... as far as I know he is also #1 Non Sporting Dog for 2003 and #5 or #3 All Breeds PCCI for 2003
